You read Dhaara Wave right at the meter, like any mechanical meter. The LCD shows the total water used since installation, in cubic metres (m³). One cubic metre is 1,000 litres, so you read litres straight off the display — no dials, no rolling digits.

Which size do I need?

Does it connect to the internet?
No. Dhaara Wave is an offline, non-IoT meter: you read it at the meter, just like a mechanical meter, but on a clear digital LCD instead of dials. There is no Wi-Fi, SIM, app or subscription, and no power wiring — the built-in battery runs 5 to 8 years.
How do I read the meter?
The LCD shows the total water used since installation, in cubic metres (m³). One cubic metre is 1,000 litres, so a reading of 00012.345 means 12,345 litres.
Does air in the pipe affect the reading?
With a mechanical meter, air from tankers or intermittent supply can turn the impeller and register as water. Dhaara Wave measures flow with ultrasound, so air is not counted.
Is installation included?
No. The price is inclusive of GST; installation and fittings are extra. WhatsApp a photo of your pipe and we'll send an installation quote.
Does it need maintenance?
There are no moving measuring parts — no impeller or gears to wear out, and none of the strainer cleaning, repairs or replacement that mechanical meters need.
Is Dhaara Wave certified?
Yes. It is ISO 4064 certified with OIML R49 model approval, and manufactured in a Legal Metrology approved facility in Hyderabad.
What warranty do I get?
A 1-year factory warranty, with support on WhatsApp.
How is Dhaara Wave different from Dhaara Pulse?
Dhaara Wave is offline: it measures and displays, and you read the total at the meter. Dhaara Pulse is an IoT meter: its built-in 4G sends you a daily WhatsApp water receipt, so you can track usage remotely without visiting the meter.
